Jakarta — A celebrity scandal has morphed into a legal imbroglio featuring dueling police reports and contradictory claims of victimhood. Central to the dispute is the marital status of businessman Insanul Fahmi. While his wife, Wardatina Mawa, demands an apology from actress Inara Rusli for adultery, Rusli has simultaneously positioned herself as the primary victim, filing a fraud report against Fahmi for alleged deception. This competing narrative was detailed by Rusli's lawyers, who explained that their client agreed to a nikah siri only after being presented with convincing proof that Fahmi was unmarried.

According to the chronology presented by police and Rusli's legal team, Insanul Fahmi and Inara Rusli first met at a friend's wedding on July 14, 2025. Following this meeting, Fahmi actively pursued Rusli. The critical point in their relationship came when Fahmi allegedly provided documentation to support his claim of being single. "In that KTP (identity card), the reported person's status was 'not married'. And the reported person showed a statement letter declaring single status on July 29, 2025," explained AKBP Reonald Simanjuntak of Polda Metro Jaya.

Inara Rusli's lawyers have publicly corroborated this account, stating that Fahmi consistently presented himself as single throughout their early interactions. Lawyer Putra Kurniadi elaborated that Fahmi's social media, which showed no trace of a wife, further reinforced this false impression. Based on these representations, Rusli consented to an unregistered religious marriage (nikah siri) with Fahmi on August 7, 2025. The lawyers stress that Rusli only discovered Fahmi's true marital status—his ongoing marriage to Wardatina Mawa—after the fact.

Upon learning the truth, Inara Rusli took swift legal action. She formally reported Insanul Fahmi to Polda Metro Jaya on December 1, 2025, accusing him of fraud related to his marital status. Her legal team has been forceful in defending her position, shifting the blame entirely onto Fahmi. "What we need to emphasize is that our client is also a victim of this Insan," declared lawyer Andi Taslim. They argue that Rusli, having experienced being "duplicated" or betrayed in a past relationship, would not willingly enter such a situation.

This victim narrative stands in direct opposition to the perspective of Wardatina Mawa. From Mawa's viewpoint, the evidence she possesses—CCTV footage and chat logs—points squarely to an extramarital affair, regardless of what Rusli claims she knew. Mawa feels personally aggrieved that Rusli has not reached out to apologize for the role she played, intentionally or not, in damaging her marriage. "I want goodwill from her. Because indirectly, she has already destroyed my marriage," Mawa stated.

The businessman at the center, Insanul Fahmi, has offered conflicting explanations. In a podcast appearance, he admitted to the nikah siri with Rusli while still legally wed to Mawa. He claimed to have told Rusli he was "already divorced," a statement Mawa firmly denies, asserting she never received a talak (Islamic divorce). Fahmi also offered a separate justification to Mawa, suggesting she had given him verbal permission to remarry back in 2023.

The legal landscape is now complex, with parallel police investigations. One probe, initiated by Wardatina Mawa, investigates allegations of adultery against both Fahmi and Rusli. A separate probe, initiated by Inara Rusli, investigates fraud allegations against Fahmi. This has created a scenario where all three individuals are entangled in legal processes, with competing claims of wrongdoing and victimization.

As the cases proceed, the court of public opinion is left to dissect a story of alleged forged documents, hidden marriages, and profound personal betrayal. Whether Inara Rusli is viewed as a calculating "third party" or a deceived victim hinges entirely on the credibility of the evidence regarding what she knew and when. This scandal underscores how private relationships, when fractured by deception, can spiral into very public legal battles with multiple, conflicting truths.
